Listing standards
What every listing has to get right before we publish it.
Our team reads every new listing before travelers can see it, usually within a day. These are the things we check. Meeting them is not a formality. A guest books a place they have never seen, on the strength of what you wrote.
Photographs
- At least three photographs, of the actual property you are letting.
- Your own pictures. Not the developer’s renders, not a photograph of a similar flat, and nothing taken from another website.
- Taken in daylight where you can, and showing the rooms a guest will use, not only the best corner of one of them.
- No people who have not agreed to appear, and no personal documents in shot.
- No phone numbers, watermarks, prices or contact details written across the picture.
Description and title
- The title names the place, not a promotion. “Two-bedroom flat in Kaloum”, not “BEST PRICE!!! CALL NOW”.
- The description matches what a guest will find, including anything they would be unhappy to discover on arrival: stairs with no lift, water that comes on at certain hours, a generator that is shared.
- No contact details in the text. Phone numbers, emails and social handles are removed. Messaging opens as soon as a booking is confirmed.
- Written in the language you are listing in, by you.
Address and location
- The real street address, in the city you selected. The exact address is shown only to a guest with a confirmed booking; before that the map shows the area.
- The pin sits on the property, not on the neighbourhood centre or the nearest landmark.
Price and availability
- The nightly price is what you will accept, in the currency shown. Asking a guest for more on arrival is grounds for removal.
- Fees are entered in the fee fields, not hidden in the description.
- The calendar reflects the dates you can actually host, and stays current.
The property itself
- You have the legal right to let it, including any permission from an owner, a landlord or a building.
- Working locks on the entrance, and a way for the guest to reach you.
- Clean and ready at check-in, with the amenities you ticked actually present and working.
If we ask for changes
We tell you what to fix and why. Your listing keeps everything you entered. Edit the part we mentioned and send it back, and it returns to the queue.
A listing that is already live can be taken down if it turns out to be inaccurate or unsafe. We will always give you the reason.
